Expressive Drawing of the Figure
Learn anatomy and work on loosening your lines in this easy and fun one-day workshop. We will warm up with group art and movement therapy exercises and then a basic anatomy course will be taught. Next, a hired model poses for us in expressive and active poses in a range from rapid-fire 2 minute poses to longer 10 minute poses. Perfect for the action drawer, comic artist, aspiring animator, or those looking to freshen up their anatomy and movement knowledge. (Ages 18+ only)
This course will be instructed by local artist, Breanna Stallings. "Bree" is a native North Carolinian artist, illustrator, writer and activist. Graduating from Queens University of Charlotte with a Bachelor's Degree in Studio Art/Creative Writing, her works of art, poetry, and mixed-media collage have been covered and published in various print and online magazines including Creative Loafing, Charlotte Viewpoint, Indigo Rising, The Borgen Project, Society Charlotte, Charlotte Magazine and others.
