Disappearing Frogs Project
The Disappearing Frogs Project at C3 Lab is presented by local artist, Terri Thirion. The exhibit will run May 6th to May 28th. It has been shown throughout North Carolina, most recently coming to Charlotte after a 3 month show in the Research Triangle area. Artwork displayed is by local and international artists who have donated their work in support of art, awareness and action.
"The mission of the Disappearing Frogs Project is to engage artists and individuals to create art, raise awareness of amphibians, educate the public about the threats they face and the great work underway to protect them. Most importantly, it works to inspire people to take action in their own lives."
The amphibian population worldwide has dramatically decreased from the negative environmental issues of globalization, habitat loss, and climate change. This threat of extinction would drastically affect nature's delicate ecosystem and upset the dynamic balance of wildlife.
All artwork displayed is for sale and proceeds benefit the Amphibian Survival Alliance, a fiscally sponsored program that brings together world leaders in amphibian conservation, research and education of Global Wildlife Conservation, a registered 501c3.
