An Alternative Perspective
The Aperture Collective is a diverse group of women photographers from Charlotte, NC and surrounding areas. The Collective was formed with the goal of creating an environment that enhances new ideas and learning, as well as supporting the individual artist's creative endeavors.
In their debut show, An Alternate Perspective, the Collective explores themes such as—connections forged and lost, relics of lives gone by, relationships in all their beauty or pain, and exploring the life and world that surrounds us—all expressed through the visual voices of female artists. The show presents photographic methods from historic printing techniques to modern digital technology and various combinations of everything in between.
